Where I live now is within 90 minutes of Sebring!
Never been there but if you happen to get back anytime soon before we move back to NC, let me know!
Hope to be there in February 2021 if all this covid shit goes away! Always the first race of the year and an awesome track.
If you are going to be moving you owe it to yourself to drive that track at least once. Make sure to have your filling checked before you go as the bumps will rattle them out of your skull!

It's odd that in nearly 20 years of SCCA racing (now retired from racing after an accident), I have very few photos. Just a handful of framed pics that are on the wall in my garage. Some of my FC and FF, and a few of the Showroom Stock GTI's, only two of the Spec Racer Ford, and only one of my first FP MG Midget. Quite a number of 1st and 2nd place trophies, but not many pics. Oh well.....
Here's a bigger pic of my Swift DB-1 in my avatar. Loved that little car. Most fun one can have in an automobile (provided you don't hit something solid going really fast).
Road Atlanta
Don't do what I was doing here. Drive with your visor down when on track in an air bag equipped car. If you do not want to drive with your visor down, remove it so the airbag does not hit bottom of visor, forcing your head back.
It has been way way way too long. The first one is of me on 3 wheels coming out of the hairpin @ Sebring in the 930 from January 2007? at the DE during the club race. I legit corded a set of R888's that day. Ah, to be young and full of piss and vinegar!
Second one is me heading into T3 @ Sebring in my 951 before I re-did the suspension and changed the brake bias.
Last is a super old video my Mom took using an old Sony digital camera. That was around the time I went solo with PCA, but before we bought the 951. Mom never came back to watch me again.

Sometimes I fart directly into my Alexa down here to show her who is Boss.

If this is truly the case anyone involved with organizing GA's voting system should be fired, shot, quartered. Individual pieces cremated and then sent to the four corners of the nation so that humanity can be saved from their incompetence.
Good to see that I didn't kill this thread. There was more than a month between my last post and the next one. Gave me plenty of time to find some more "track photos".
Sideways at 80 mph on ice is kind of exciting. This was an ice run (time trial) on Saginaw Bay. For some reason, I have pretty good skills on snow and ice. And, I love it...
I don't mind taking flight, either.
Now for something completely different, a real track.
That Grattan video is old I was still a little crossed up back then. I did a Jason DiSalvo 3 day speed school at Road America and worked out my body position - head down, outside elbow resting on the tank.
I need to dig out some videos from my last track day at COTA - they’re FAST!
Life happened and I haven’t been to the track in 3 years - this thread is making me want to go back.
No photos from Grattan, it seems. But we rented the track to shake down our Z-cars in 2006...
Then they let us loose with them for a couple of years. Racing on other people's money is really nice.

We haven't raced in many years, but still spend a lot of time at our local road racing course as OTD Instructors.
Every once in a while we get to hit the track to show people the line at lunchtime (no helmets/no passing) which is still quite fun.
Maybe in 2021, we'll have track days again. Maybe I'll have more than one car to choose from.
Do you think any students would want to ride in the Colt?
Most of the OTD students we work with are novices in their daily drivers, so any chance to get a ride in a proper race car would likely be met with great enthusiasm
