I picked up some S3 cams from a former 928 owner in the area. They aren't quite as advertised. But, they were free, other than the 2.5 hour round trip to pick them up.

So, what should I do with them? I could use them as legs for a steel frame coffee table with glass top. Or use them as some kind of art? Have them repaired? Or sell them to....no, not going to stir that pot! :)

Here are photos of the cam shafts:

I would drop them from a height of 3 feet onto a concrete floor, and see how they break, so that I know to never drop good ones in the future if I get them. There is absolutley nothing else to do with them.

I’m sorry that didn’t work out the way we wanted it to Chris. Bummer. But, I if someone was offering me free S3 cams tomorrow, I would do the same thing. Hopefully it was a nice drive on a nice day :)

I would do it again, too. The weather was phenomenal. A good bit of highway, but the backroads near me are always nice. The 928 is such a great car.
